Booth News #1: FoSDEM 2007 [Accomodation, Hardware Insurance]

Hi,

A short status overview concerning the booth planning for FOSDEM 2007 in
Brussels (February 24th - 25th, 2007)


1) Team and Accomodation

Currently, I have information of the following people who need
accomodation during FoSDEM:

	1 := Needs accomodation on the given day (single room)
	2 := Needs accomodation on the given day (double room)
	- := Does not need accomodation on the given day.

Double rooms are planned for Matze and Benjamin as well as Michael and
his girlfriend.

Georgs' room is covered by the FoSDEM organization, because he is
speaker. All speakers will stay at Novotel.

I plan to book the rooms for all others in the Ibis Hotel, where we
stayed last year, because the rates are cheaper than in Novotel.

I don't see a problem in this, because as most of you know, both Hotels
are in about 200m distance from each other.

Prices for Ibis Centre Ste Catherine:

	  EUR 69,-  per room/night
	+ EUR 10,-  breakfast per person/day

The price is valid independent form the room type. That means, if you
book a room for two persons, the rate can be devided by two:

	  EUR 34,50 per person/night
	+ EUR 10,00 per person/night
	-----------------------------
	  EUR 44,50 per person/night

If not done, already, please tell me, if the rates are okay for you (they
are identical with last year). And please tell me, if there is something
wrong in the table, above.


2) Hardware Insurance

*** ACTION REQUIRED ***

FoSDEM will provide a hardware insurance for any type of hardware you
plan to bring to FoSDEM. Officially the insurance is intended, for people
being busy at our booth, only.

Please tell me the following information, if you would like you notebook
or something like this to be covered by the insurance:

	- the name and email address of the owner
	- the type of device (notebook, network switch, PDA, ...)
	- the vendor and name of the device (e.g. Dell Latitude D800)
	- some sort of unique identifier that is visible on the device
	  (typically the serial number)
	- an estimation of its current value, in EUR

The hardware will be covered by the insurance, if we can deliver the
information until 19th of February.
